Appears in the web app as **'Apps & Websites' Productivity Report.**
**Available on:** Standard and above
**Who can use it:** All roles, including Admins, Managers and Members
**Where to find it:** Reporting › Productivity › Apps & Website Productivity Report

The Apps & Website Productivity Report shows exactly which desktop applications and websites each person used during a period, how long they spent on each one, and whether it's categorized as Productive, Neutral or Unproductive. Use it to see where each person's tracked time actually went, application by application.

---

###### What problem does this report solve?

A total hours figure tells you how long someone tracked time for, but not what they spent it on. This report breaks that time down into every application and website a person used, along with its Work Category and whether Flowace counted it as productive, neutral or unproductive.

**Use it to:**

* See exactly which applications and websites make up each person's tracked time, beyond the total
* Spot unproductive or neutral time that's inflating someone's tracked hours
* Compare Work Categories and productivity ratings across associates and Teams to see where attention is going

###### What each column means

| Column | What it shows |
| ---- | ---- |
| Member Name | The person the row's tracked time belongs to. |
| Email | The associate's email address. |
| Member ID | Their unique ID in Flowace. |
| Reports To | The email address of the person they report to. |
| Team | The Team(s) the member belongs to. Shows “-” if they aren't assigned to a Team, or more than one Team name separated by a semicolon if they belong to several. |
| Work Category | The category the application or website is grouped under in your workspace's productivity settings. |
| Productivity Rating | Productive, Neutral or Unproductive — matches the Productivity Filter you chose. |
| Type | Whether the tracked item is a Website or an Application. (This article covers the Desktop export; choosing Mobile under Device Type tracks mobile apps instead.) |
| Total Hours (HH:MM:SS) | The total time the associate spent on that application or website across the Report Period, in the Time Format you chose |
---

###### How the numbers are calculated

**TOTAL HOURS**
**Σ (tracked session time for that member, on that application or website, within the Report Period and the filters you chose)**
Every time an associate has an application or website in focus, Flowace tracks the time. This report adds every one of those sessions together for the period, and shows one row per associate per application or website.

---

**Worked example**

Over the Report Period, Meera Shah (Design Team) has figma.com in focus across five working days:

| Day | Time in figma.com |
| ---- | ---- |
| Monday | 02:12:00 |
| Tuesday | 02:45:30 |
| Wednesday | 01:58:12 |
| Thursday | 02:23:45 |
| Friday | 01:43:20 |
| Total | 11:02:47 |

In the report, this appears as one row:

| Member | Team | Work Category | Productivity Rating | Type | Name or Domain | Total Hours |
| ---- | ---- | ---- | ---- | ---- | ---- | ---- |
| Meera Shah | Design Team | Design | Productive | Website | figma.com | 11:02:47 |

---

**Reading the results: common scenarios**

| What you see | What it means | What to do |
| ---- | ---- | ---- |
| Team shows “-” | The member isn't assigned to any Team. | Assign them to a Team if you want to filter or group this report by Team. |
| Team lists more than one name, separated by a semicolo | The associate belongs to more than one Team. | Nothing needed — every Team they belong to is listed. |
| The same member appears with different Productivity Ratings across rows | Each application or website carries its own rating | Review the specific application or website if a rating looks wrong. |
| One member's Total Hours for a single application is unusually high | The application was likely in focus for long stretches across the period, for example ongoing meetings. | Check whether the ignore idle setting is set appropriately for the desired apps & websites |

###### FAQs

* Why does the same member appear in more than one row?
Each row is one application or website. An associate who used five different applications or sites in the period appears in five rows, one for each.
* Why is Team blank for some members?
An associate who hasn't been assigned to a Team shows “-” in the Team column.
* What decides whether an application or website is Productive, Neutral or Unproductive?
Its Work Category and Productivity Rating are set in your workspace's productivity settings. Ask your Workspace Admin if a specific application or site looks miscategorised.
* Can I see a day-by-day breakdown of an associate's time on an application?
No. This report shows one Total Hours figure per associate per application or website for the whole Report Period; it doesn't break the total down by day. For the day-by-day breakdown, use Activity Report
* Does this report include mobile app usage?
Only if you choose Mobile under Device Type. This article describes the Desktop export, where Type shows Website or Application.
