# How to Set Up Custom Alerts in Flowace?

### Purpose
Customize alerts to keep track of productivity and identify problematic user behavior.

### What Types of Alerts Are Available?
* **Daily Alerts** – Notifications sent every working day based on your configured time.
* **Weekly Alerts** – Notifications sent once a week on a specified day and time.

### How Does an Alert Work?
Admins can:
* Specify *which users or teams* to monitor.
* Define *who gets notified* when the alert triggers.
* Choose which specific days (for weekly alerts) and time (for both types) the system uses, based on the company timezone.
* Monitor conditions across attendance (e.g., start time, end time, absent days) or productivity metrics.

### How to Set Up an Alert

#### Step 7: Save and Activate

### 📝 Notes & Best Practices
* Include the configured notifier to get alerts via email with a detailed CSV
* Flowace may include **default alerts** (e.g., “Daily hours tracked”, “Unproductive time per day”). These often cannot be edited but can sometimes be cloned.
* Ensure the saved alert’s triggers align with your working‑day definitions and timezone settings.
* Periodically review alerts to ensure they remain relevant and do not result in notification fatigue.
* Clearly communicate the purpose of each alert to stakeholders so they understand why and when notifications will be sent.
