Quick Install & Whitelisting
Overview
To ensure Flowace works seamlessly, a quick setup and minimal configuration are required. This helps avoid issues like missing screenshots, incomplete tracking, or sync delays.

👤 For: End users & IT/Admin teams
Step 1: Install & Launch
- Download and install the Flowace desktop application: Interactive App or Silent App
- Log in using your credentials
- Keep the app running in the background
Step 2: Whitelist Desktop Application (Windows Native App Only)
📁 Allow this folder

⚙️ Allow these files
- FlowaceService.exe (or WinFService.exe)
- FlowaceSSGen.exe (or WinFSSGen.exe)
- FlowaceRTCHandler.exe (or WinFRTCHandler.exe)
- FlowaceApplicationTimer.exe (or WinFApplicationTimer.exe)
- FlowaceNetworkBandiwidth.exe (or WinFNetworkBandiwidth.exe)
- NativeMessagingHost.exe
- FirefoxNativeMessagingHost.exe
- MoveInstallationDir.exe
👉 Apply in:
- Antivirus
- Firewall
- Endpoint security (EDR tools)
Note
This step is only required for the native Windows desktop application. It is not required for macOS, Linux, or newer Windows app versions, where such manual whitelisting is typically not needed.
Step 3: Allow Network Access (Required for All Users)
🌐 Whitelist these domains
api.flowace.in→ Core application functionalityamazonaws.com→ Screenshots & reporting services
🔐 Ensure:
- HTTPS (Port 443) is allowed
- These domains are not blocked by firewall/proxy
- SSL inspection does not interfere (if applicable)
Important
This network configuration is mandatory across all platforms and app versions (Windows, macOS, Linux, and newer builds).
Step 4: Quick Verification (2 mins)
After setup, confirm:
- ✅ App launches without errors
- ✅ Screenshots are captured
- ✅ Activity is visible in dashboard
- ✅ No firewall/antivirus blocks detected
