# Turn Features On or Off with Feature Permissions

Choose which features your workspace uses by turning them on or off, for all users.

The **Feature Permissions** page lists the features and modules available in your workspace, each with a toggle. Turn on the ones you need and turn off the ones you do not. Your choices customize the workspace across all users.

### When to use this page
* **Turn on a feature you need.** Switch on a feature that is off, for example Away From System.
* **Turn off what you do not need.** Switch off features your team does not use, so your workspace shows only what matters.
* **Set up your workspace once.** The same choices apply across all users, existing and new.

### The Feature Permissions page at a glance
Features are grouped in two sections. Each feature has a toggle, a short description and a Learn More link

### How to turn features on or off

**Open Feature Permissions:**

1. **Open Admin Settings.** Click your profile name at the top right and select **Admin Settings**.
2. **Open Default Settings.** In the left menu, click Default Settings.
3. **Click Feature Permissions.** At the top right of the page, click Feature Permissions.
4. **Find the feature.** Look through Recommended Features and Advanced Controls & Customization for the feature or module you want.
5. **Turn on** what you need.
6. **Turn off** what you do not need.

### Good to know

* The alert is available only on the interactive desktop app, and is never supported on the silent app.
* It is set by the admin, per employee.
* The pop-up appears 1 minute before the idle threshold.

* **Do I need to save my changes?**
No. A toggle takes effect as soon as you click it.
* **Who is affected when I turn a feature on or off?**
All users in your workspace, existing and new.
* **Can I turn a feature back on later?**
Yes. Open Feature Permissions again and click the toggle next to the feature.
* **Where can I read about a feature first?**
Click the Learn More link under the feature’s description.
