Customizing Columns in the Workforce Efficiency Report

Learn how to select the exact metrics you want to see in your Workforce Efficiency Report, and what each available column measures.

Reporting  >  Workforce Efficiency Report  >  Columns to Include

Overview

The Workforce Efficiency Report does not show every available metric by default. Instead, you choose which columns appear using the Columns to Include panel, accessed through the Edit Columns button. This keeps the report focused on the data that matters to you, whether that is attendance timing, active hours, productivity, task activity, or performance scoring.
This article explains how to open and use the Columns to Include panel, and defines the fields available under each category.

How to Edit Columns

1.Go to Reporting > Workforce Efficiency Report.
2.In the Columns to Include section, click Edit Columns.
3.A panel opens on the right, listing every available column grouped by category. Use the search bar at the top to jump directly to a column by name.
4.Select the checkbox next to any column you want to include, and clear the checkbox to remove it.
5.Click Apply to update the report with your selection, or Cancel to discard changes.

Note: Total Logged Hours is marked Required and cannot be deselected. It is the base figure other calculations in the report depend on.

Column Categories at a Glance

Columns in the panel are grouped into five categories:

Category

What It Covers

Attendance and Timings

Expected and actual shift start/end times, and average work start/end times.

Work Time Insights

Expected vs. actual logged and active hours, both across the full day and within the shift window.

Productivity

Productive, unproductive, and neutral time based on app and URL classification.

Task Management

Time logged against tasks, including billable and non-billable task hours.

Performance Score

Composite scoring fields that summarize an employee's overall efficiency for the period.

The Attendance and Timings and Work Time Insights categories are detailed below with field-level definitions. Productivity, Task Management, and Performance Score follow the same logic already covered in the main Workforce Efficiency Report article. If you need the exact field list for these three categories, open Edit Columns and use the search bar, or reach out to support and we will get the full list added here.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I save a default set of columns?

Column selections apply to the report you are about to generate. Reopen Edit Columns each time you want a different set of columns, or keep a saved export as your working template.

Why can't I uncheck Total Logged Hours?

It is marked Required because it is the reference figure the report is built around. Every other hour-based column is calculated in relation to it.

Do Attendance and Timings columns change with the Shift Scope setting?

Yes. Expected Shift Start/End reflect the assigned shift regardless of scope, but Average Work Start/End Time will reflect Full Day or Within Shift Window activity depending on what you selected for Shift Scope.

What happens if I select more columns than fit on screen?

The report table becomes wider and scrollable. For readability, we recommend selecting only the columns relevant to the audience you are sharing the report with**.**
